About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Lexington, Kentucky.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
- Verifies patient orders, identity, and history prior to procedures; performs peripheral venipuncture when required for exams
- Maintains continuous monitoring of patients throughout exams and applies radiation protection principles including ALARA
- Aids radiologists and authorized providers with exams and procedures as needed
- Trains new employees on equipment functionality, exam protocols, and modifications; supervises imaging students during clinical rotations
- Performs equipment warm-up and quality control checks, monitors supply inventory, and reports equipment malfunctions or environmental safety concerns
- Documents all patient care incidents electronically
Requirements
- Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology program
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R)
- Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- Able to operate all relevant radiology equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Pay
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
