Job Details
Entry-level position working under supervision to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
Provides safe, high quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various settings including acute inpatient, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote clinics.
- Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
- Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team.
- Utilizes specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
- Conducts post-procedure review to ensure completion and quality.
- Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
- Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, and maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies.
- Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and report to work as scheduled.
- Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to multi-task, remain calm in stressful situations, and exercise sound judgment.
- Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology related to cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies.
- Ability to apply core-level specialty theory, practices, and techniques with general supervision.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by the ARDMS.
- Must meet applicant eligibility requirements and published standards for ARDMS in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required by the hiring department.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Preferred Education
Absorbate’s degree or higher.
Abdomen doppler experience preferred.
Schedule Information
- Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday 7p-7a.
- Hours per day: 12
- Hours per week: 48
