The Good Life MedStaff is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Brunswick, Georgia. The position starts ASAP, involves 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts, and is a travel employment type. As an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer), you will use ultrasound equipment to create diagnostic images that help physicians assess and diagnose medical conditions related to organs, tissues, and blood flow.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Assist patients in preparing for the ultrasound, including positioning and providing gowns while maintaining privacy.
• Set up and calibrate ultrasound equipment for optimal imaging based on patient needs.
• Operate the ultrasound machine’s transducer to capture high‑quality images.
• Monitor patient responses during the procedure and adjust equipment as necessary.
• Review images for sufficient quality; adjust settings to improve clarity.
• Document results and provide reports to physicians or other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain patient records in electronic health records (EHR) or other systems.
• Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment and examination rooms per infection‑control standards.
• Follow strict infection‑control protocols to prevent contamination between patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other medical staff to interpret and evaluate diagnostic images.
• Participate in discussions regarding patient care and assist with additional imaging if required.
• Assist with other imaging tasks such as echocardiograms or vascular ultrasound.
• Pursue continuing education and training to stay current on ultrasound technology and best practices.
