Travel Cytotechnologist - $2,429 per week

Responsibilities

• Skilled in cytotechnology techniques such as Papanicolaou (Pap) staining and liquid-based cytology
• Accurately differentiate between normal, reactive, infectious, and malignant cellular changes
• Collaborate with pathologists for diagnostic accuracy
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of cytological findings
• Prioritize tasks to ensure timely diagnoses and optimal patient care
• Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance measures
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Cytotechnologist
• Valid license when needed in compliance with any state regulations
• Demonstrated proficiency in microscopic examination of cytology specimens
• Active CT (ASCP) certification required (or equivalent)
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Qualifications

• Active CT (ASCP) certification required (or equivalent, such as AMT, AAB, HEW)
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
