Travel Cytology Technologist - $2,475 per week
Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Cytologist for an outpatient laboratory position located in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves performing cytology laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, staining, and preliminary diagnosis within an acute care hospital setting. The position offers a stable schedule from Monday to Friday during daytime hours.
Job Details
- Schedule: 5x8 Days (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM), minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- ASCP-CT certification
- Minimum 3 years of cytology experience
- Illinois state license active at time of submission
- Outpatient lab experience
- Proficiency in procedures like assist with on-site procedures, staining, quality control/quality assurance, specimen labeling and identification, with experience in body fluids (e.g., ascitic fluid, spinal, urine), and fine needle aspiration support (assist, make smears, preliminary diagnosis)
Preferred Qualifications
- Community hospital experience
- Trauma level II experience
- Travel experience
Special Requirements
- Must be in Illinois three business days prior to compliance headcount for fingerprinting
- Candidate must be able to complete all onboarding modules including lab appointments and badge photo within one week of contract signing
