Travel CVPICU RN - $2,711 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVPICU for a 13‑week contract in Newark, New Jersey, with a start date of 10/12/2026. The role requires 36 hours per week (three 12‑hour night shifts) in the cardiovascular pediatric intensive care unit, caring for infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients with cardiac needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including blood product administration and TPN/lipids management.
• Manage respiratory and airway support, including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator care.
• Assist in specialty procedures such as lumbar puncture and dialysis.
• Monitor hemodynamics and interpret dysrhythmias and telemetry data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS (NRP preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of cardiac experience.
• Experience with EPIC charting system required.
• Knowledge of pediatric dosage calculations and Broselow system.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, requiring 2 of 3 holidays to be worked.
