Travel CVOR Technologist - $2,386 per week
Job Description & Requirements
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel CVOR Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Fargo, North Dakota starting August 10, 2026. The position requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and operates on a day shift.
- One year of recent experience as a CVOR surgical tech
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- CST or nationally recognized equivalent certification (preferred)
Essential Work Functions
As a CVOR surgical technologist, you will facilitate the safe and effective execution of cardiovascular surgical procedures under the supervision of the surgeon. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the operating room prior to surgical procedures
- Stocking surgical supplies and inspecting surgical machines and equipment
- Aiding in transporting patients to and from surgery
- Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team
- Anticipating the surgeon's needs and passing instruments to maintain procedural flow
- Handling specimens with precision and care
- Maintaining sterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Maintaining proficiency in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Adhering to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficient in PC skills
- Physical abilities: remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and work without assistance from other personnel
- Sensory: possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
