About the Role

Perform surgical procedures in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting. Assist with complex surgeries and manage sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic aneurysm repair, aortobifemoral bypass, aortocaval fistula repair, aortoenteric fistula repair, arteriovenous fistula repair, arteriovenous malformation surgery, aseptic technique, atherectomy, care of scopes & fiber optic equipment, carotid angioplasty, carotid artery stenting, carotid endarterectomy, case cart, CVOR, electrosurgical units, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, fire safety, general OR, isolation precautions/PPE, laparoscopic assisted cases, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, vein stripping and other related surgical procedures.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assist surgeons during operations, including positioning patients, passing instruments, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Follow universal precautions and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care, including documentation and communication with other healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • 2.0 years of relevant surgical experience.
  • BLS certification.
  • Current license to practice in the state of Georgia.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent training.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

$2,225.00 to $2,413.80 weekly
