Responsibilities
Perform a variety of surgical procedures under the supervision of a surgeon, including but not limited to:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
- Appendectomy
- Aseptic Technique
- Care of scopes & fiber optic equipment
- Case Cart
- Cholecystectomy
- Colon resection - Open/LAP
- Fire Safety
- General OR
- Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Laparoscopic assisted cases
- Laparoscopic assisted procedures
- Laser Safety
- Mastectomy
- Sharps Safety
- Specimen Handling/labeling
- Teaching Hospital
- Thyroidectomy partial/total
- Universal Protocol (Time out)
- Procedure
