About the Role
Perform surgical procedures in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
Responsibilities
- Perform aseptic technique
- Assist with Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgeries
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE
- Perform mitral valve replacement
- Perform pericardial window procedures
- Ensure sharps safety
- Handle and label specimens
- Follow the universal protocol (time out)
- Participate in post-operative care
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- BLS certification
- CST certification
Qualifications
- Current license to practice in the state of Maryland
- Experience with CVOR and related procedures
