Travel CVOR Surgical Technologist - $2,400 per week

Travel CVOR Technologist position in Wausau, Wisconsin. Start date: 11/02/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday–Friday with weekend/holiday rotation every third weekend. Employment type: Travel.

About the role

Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist providing surgical support within the cardiovascular operating room, focusing on cardiac and thoracic procedures. Requires highly skilled surgical technologists with experience in cardiothoracic surgeries, ready to work a Monday through Friday day shift with potential on‑call commitments.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently set up operative suites and prepare case carts.
• Scrub surgical cases across various specialties.
• Assist with room turnovers.
• Float to all Central Aspirus locations if necessary.
• Remain motivated during downtime to assist with additional tasks.
• Manage multiple procedures efficiently with resilience and adaptability.

Requirements

• Certifications: BLS; CST license required (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted); AHA or ARC certifications preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of cardiovascular operating room experience required; prior travel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Cardiac/Thoracic procedures experience.
• Thoracic robot experience.
• Ability to respond within 30 minutes for emergency cases.
• Strong work ethic and flexibility.

Schedule

• Days shift, 8‑hour shifts, guaranteed 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Weekend and holiday rotation every third weekend.
• Shift hours: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
• On‑call/Call‑back: One night per week, one weekend per month, and one backup per week; may be called back with a minimum of 2 hours notice.
• GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation; travelers may be scheduled for low census hours, including on‑call.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
