Job Highlights

• 4 operating rooms
• Average daily census: 10 cases

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license (or in application process)
• BLSACLS preferred
• Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience
  • Prior trauma or Main OR experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience required
  • Level II Trauma experience required (Level I preferred)
• Required Surgical Experience:
  • Cardiac:
  • CABG
  • TAVR
  • Mitral valve replacement
  • MAZE procedure
  • Aortic aneurysm repair
  • Atrial septal defect repair
  • Pericardial window
  • ECMO/LVAD/VAD
  • Femoral cannulation
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
  • PDA repair
  • Scrubbing cardiovascular surgery
  • Vascular:
  • AAA repair
  • EVAR
  • Carotid endarterectomy
  • Femoral-popliteal bypass
  • AV fistula repair
  • Atherectomy
  • Vein stripping
  • Scrubbing vascular surgery
  • Thoracic:
  • Thoracotomy
  • VATS
  • Mediastinoscopy
  • Lobe resection
  • Scrubbing thoracic surgery
  • General/Endoscopic:
  • Bronchoscopy
  • EGD
  • PEG placement/exchange
  • Laparoscopic-assisted procedures
  • Whipple procedure
  • Scrubbing endoscopic surgery
• Required Professional Skills:
  • Laser safety
  • Specimen handling and labeling
  • Universal Protocol ("Time Out") procedure
• Call Requirements:
  • 1–2 weekday call nights per week
  • Every 5th weekend on call
