Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a CVOR RN for a travel nursing assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. This 26-week assignment begins on September 14, 2026, with a 10-hour day shift and 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with a focus on cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
- Perform both circulating and scrub duties, including open heart scrubbing.
- Operate within a Level 1 Trauma facility, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical systems for documentation and patient management.
Requirements
- Minimum 24 months of current/recent operating room experience, specifically in Cardiovascular OR / CVOR.
- 80% of experience in Cardiac cases and 20% in General cases, including basic General Surgery circulating.
- Strong and proficient experience in Cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
- EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 3 years.
- Trauma Level II experience; Trauma Level I experience preferred.
- At least one travel assignment completed within the previous 15 months.
- Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate license at the time of submission.
- AHA/Active American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross BLS certification.
- Professional reference from within the last 24 months, preferably from a supervisor or leadership role.
Documentation Required
- Work history/resume showing 24 months of current operating room / CVOR experience.
- Skills checklist specific to Operating Room Nurse, including scrub/scrubbing.
- Valid driver’s license.

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay may differ and is subject to change during the assignment.
