About the role

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit specializes in caring for patients post-cardiac surgery and vascular surgery. The primary patient population includes those who have undergone procedures such as open heart surgeries, thoracic lung surgery, and various vascular interventions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients recovering from cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
• Administer medication, including cardiac management drugs and epidural medications.
• Perform chest tube management and IV glucomander tasks.
• Ensure proper feeding and hydration protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Valid RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Telemetry experience and stepdown care experience.
• Preferred: Experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgery populations.

Schedule

Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, 12 hours, days
