Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Location: Greenville, North Carolina
- Shift: 10-hour days (0700-1700 or 0900-1900)
- Schedule: 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/10/2026
- Experience: 0 years minimum required, 2 years preferred in operating room or cardiovascular surgery environments
- Certifications/Education: Current North Carolina or Compact State nursing license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification
- Call Requirements: Call required, weekend call required
- Rate: $115.00 per hour
- Radii Rule: Candidates must reside within an 80-mile radius of the Greenville area
- Duration: 13 weeks assignment with potential for extension

Patient Population
- Cardiac (including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, LVAD)
- Vascular (such as aneurysm repair, carotid stenting)
- Thoracic surgeries (including thoracotomy, VATS, esophageal/hernia repairs, bronchoscopy, robotics)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Circulating Nurse: manages overall nursing care in the operating room, maintains a safe and comfortable environment
- Scrub Nurse: prepares the sterile field, handles surgical instruments and supplies, supports the surgical team, manages specimens and performs counts to prevent retained foreign objects
