Travel CVOR Open Heart Registered Nurse - $2,850 per week
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Registered Nurse position in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care to cardiac surgery patients in an acute care hospital setting. The selected candidate will support complex cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgical interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized perioperative care to cardiac surgery patients
- Support complex cardiovascular procedures in an acute care hospital setting
- Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgical interventions
- Handle on-call duties: 1-2 nights per week and every 4-5th weekend
- Float within scope to other operative areas as needed
Requirements
- Certified as a Registered Nurse with a valid Illinois license (or in application process)
- Minimum of 0 years of experience (entry level candidates accepted)
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Experience in operating room cardiovascular surgery and open heart procedures
- Proficiency in CVOR and general OR procedures
- Experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgery
Schedule
- 13-week assignment starting 08/24/2026
- 40 hours per week
- 4x10-hour day shifts (06:15 - 16:45)
- Open to block scheduling; discuss requests with management
- Locals accepted with no radius restriction
