This role involves providing specialized perioperative care to cardiac surgery patients in an acute care hospital setting. The selected candidate will support complex cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgical interventions. Job Details: Shift: 4x10 Days (06/15 - 16:45) Schedule: Working days with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certified as a Registered Nurse with a valid Illinois license; minimum of 0 years of experience (entry level candidates accepted). Must have BLS certification; ACLS preferred. Additional Qualifications: Experience in operating room cardiovascular surgery and open heart procedures, including handling of complex cardiac cases, is required. On-Call: 1-2 nights of call per week and every 4-5th weekend, operationally scheduled. Float: Float within scope to other operative areas as needed. Open to Block Schedule: Yes, discuss schedule requests with management. Locals Accepted: Yes, with no radius restriction. Licensure: Must have an active Illinois Registered Nurse license or be in the application process. RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days. Special Requirements: Proficient in CVOR and general OR procedures; experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgery is necessary. Hospital Type: Acute care hospital, Level I trauma center, with 562 beds.
