Travel CVOR Lead Clinical Nurse - $3,730 per week
Job Details
Provide leadership and coordination of shift operations in a defined clinical area.
Achieve patient outcomes and demonstrate clinical competence in area of practice.
Participate in quality improvement unit activities based on unit focus/priorities.
Assist with identifying clinical learning needs of staff and assure learning achieved.
Implement systems to inform/monitor staff compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Implement action plan to improve clinical care of patients.
Develop new area of expertise relevant to clinical area.
Collaborate with other disciplines/departments to resolve daily operational issues when supervising unit.
Facilitate staff in prioritizing and problem solving daily operational issues.
Collaborate with Physicians to address operational issues.
Demonstrate resolution of operational issues with targeted outcomes as negotiated with manager or director.
Complete all 90 day and annual performance reviews within 30 days of due date.
Assure employee files are current and complete including annual PPD, CPR, RN licensure, safety test, etc.
Orient/mentor staff into new roles resulting in achieved competencies within identified timelines.
Develop staff's leadership skills, facilitating learning and growth.
Achieve productivity score between 98-100%.
Monitor flexing, on-call, skill mix, use of overtime, per diem and registry.
Identify and/or participate in implementation of cost reducing or revenue enhancing ideas.
Contribute to utilization of supplies in a cost-effective manner that supports delivery of care within budgeted supply expense per unit of service.
Contribute to meeting budgeted salary expense per unit of service.
Facilitate Workman's Compensation reporting and documentation per requirements.
Demonstrate ability to handle situations not covered by written or verbal instructions that maintain staff/patient safety.
Convey importance and rationale of policies & procedures and standards of care to staff and customers.
Demonstrate resolution of safety issues as negotiated with manager or director.
Trend staff safety learning needs and assure learning achieved.
Job Requirements
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing - REQUIRED.
- 2 Years recent, pertinent, clinical experience.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED.
- CVOR – Open heart, circulating, Cardiac robotic procedures - REQUIRED.
- Assessing and improving competencies preferred.
- Scrub experience preferred.
- Physician relations preferred.
- Liaise with Sterile processing teams preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
