About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a 13-week assignment at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room under the supervision of anesthesiologists and surgeons.
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative care, including patient positioning, draping, and monitoring vital signs.
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring they are ready for each case.
- Communicate effectively with surgical teams and other healthcare providers to facilitate smooth case transitions.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient care and procedures using Meditech.
- Participate in 3 call shifts per month, covering both day and night shifts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
- CVOR certification.
- Experience in general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, and thoracic surgery.
- Strong skills in cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral or aortic valve replacement, and advanced spine surgeries.
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, particularly with the XI Robot.
- Knowledge of Meditech documentation system.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Skills
- Circulating RN experience in general OR, including orthopedic, neurosurgical, plastic, vascular, and trauma cases.
- Thoracic and vascular surgical experience.
- Advanced skills in cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral or aortic valve replacement, and advanced spine surgeries.
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, particularly with the XI Robot.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
