About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a 13-week assignment at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Operating Room under the supervision of anesthesiologists and surgeons.
  • Assist with preoperative and postoperative care, including patient positioning, draping, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring they are ready for each case.
  • Communicate effectively with surgical teams and other healthcare providers to facilitate smooth case transitions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient care and procedures using Meditech.
  • Participate in 3 call shifts per month, covering both day and night shifts.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
  • CVOR certification.
  • Experience in general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, and thoracic surgery.
  • Strong skills in cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral or aortic valve replacement, and advanced spine surgeries.
  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, particularly with the XI Robot.
  • Knowledge of Meditech documentation system.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Skills

  • Circulating RN experience in general OR, including orthopedic, neurosurgical, plastic, vascular, and trauma cases.
  • Thoracic and vascular surgical experience.
  • Advanced skills in cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral or aortic valve replacement, and advanced spine surgeries.
  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, particularly with the XI Robot.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
