About the role
We are seeking a skilled CVICU RN to provide critical care in an intensive care unit setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes in condition
- Administering complex medications and treatments following critical care protocols
- Operating advanced life support equipment and performing advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and emotional needs in high-acuity environments
- Documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Providing patient and family education regarding treatments and recovery
- Adhering to infection control, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- At least one year of recent CVICU RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
- Proficiency in reading, writing, computer skills, and effective communication
- Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRN, TNCC, NIHSS certifications, or additional licenses
