Role And Responsibilities

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will provide comprehensive, high-acuity patient care by assessing, monitoring, and responding to critically ill patients. Your duties include operating advanced life support equipment, administering complex medications, interpreting hemodynamic data, documenting patient responses, and collaborating with healthcare teams. You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and education, while adhering to infection control and regulatory standards. Maintaining proficiency in critical care procedures and participating in quality improvement initiatives are essential components of the role.

Qualifications And Skills

Candidates must have at least one year of recent CVICU experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred qualifications include CCRN and additional certifications such as TNCC or NIHSS. Essential skills include critical thinking, strong communication, physical stamina, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail are also required.
