Travel CVICU RN - $2,594 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN CVICU position in Saint Louis, Missouri. Start date: October 26, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 12‑hour nights (1900‑0730). Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 (to be indicated on submission form). Unit: 22‑bed CVICU with 1:2 patient ratio. Equipment includes Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun. EMR: EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a diverse patient population including sepsis, respiratory (pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, etc.), post‑cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, suicidal ideations, CIWA, and other critical conditions.
• May be floated to other stepdown units as staffing needs require.
• Participate in orientation: night shift orients on day shift; traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.

Requirements

• Current RN license eligible for or already licensed in Missouri.
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association only.
• NIHSS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cardiac and/or Medical ICU, with direct experience recovering open‑heart patients from the OR.

Qualifications

• Preferred certification: TNCC.
• Preferred experience: background with medical ICU patients and cardiac emphasis (arrhythmias, STEMI, post‑arrest).
• Inpatient‑only cardiac medical ICU experience (3 years) is a must‑have skill.

Skills

• Proficiency with Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun equipment.
• Experience managing patients on EPIC EMR.
• Ability to maintain 1:2 patient ratios in a 22‑bed CVICU.
