About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will manage patients in critical condition, requiring advanced nursing skills and specialized care in a high-acuity environment.

Schedule

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts: Day (06:45 – 19:15) and Night (18:45 – 07:15)
  • Every-other-weekend requirement (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • One holiday shift required

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently handle hemodynamic monitoring and manage complex cardiovascular conditions
  • Care for postoperative heart-surgery patients (CABG/Valve surgeries)
  • Manage continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT/CVVHD) and other advanced interventions
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care in the EPIC charting system
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care
  • Float to any Adult ICU or Telemetry as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Active Pennsylvania or compact nursing license at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including proficiency in CRRT/CVVHD, IABPs, Impellas, and ventilator management
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
