Travel CVICU RN - $1,862 per week

About the role

Travel nurse position for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN in Columbia, South Carolina. Assignment duration is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Respond to emergencies hospital‑wide to perform CPR and operate defibrillators.
• Educate patients and family members on managing recovery at home.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years’ recent acute care experience (CVICU preferred).
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean and stoop for extended periods; lift up to 20 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs when moving patients.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to diverse patient populations.
