Job Details
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Facility uses Cerner OneChart Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
Work schedule: Every other weekend, no call
Job Requirements
- Must have current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must have Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA
- Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years
- Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years
- Completion of CPI/MOAB High Risk Online Portion prior to start and on-site portion at orientation
- Must meet personal health requirements including MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Positive PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray if applicable, Health Statement, Varicella, Tdap
- Must provide professional documentation including resume/profile, two professional references, criminal background check, EPLS, education verification, employment verification, confirmation of assignment, badge photo
- Must complete Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding onsite
- Must complete Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules
- Must complete Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually

- Ascension Resume required for submission
- Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Licence/Certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out required for onboarding
- Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
- Ascension Criminal Background Check includes Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others completed within 30 days of first assignment and updated annually
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
- Driver's License/State ID must be current and match address on file
- Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding but needs to be uploaded by unit leader within a week
