Job Details

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Facility uses Cerner OneChart Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
Work schedule: Every other weekend, no call

Job Requirements

• Must have current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Must have Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA
• Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% passing score
• Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years
• Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years
• Completion of CPI/MOAB High Risk Online Portion prior to start and on-site portion at orientation
• Must meet personal health requirements including MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Positive PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray if applicable, Health Statement, Varicella, Tdap
• Must provide professional documentation including resume/profile, two professional references, criminal background check, EPLS, education verification, employment verification, confirmation of assignment, badge photo
• Must complete Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding onsite
• Must complete Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules
• Must complete Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually

• Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Ascension Criminal Background Check includes Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others completed within 30 days of first assignment and updated annually
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Driver's License/State ID must be current and match address on file
• Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding but needs to be uploaded by unit leader within a week
