Travel CVICU Registered Nurse - $1,949 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Asheville, North Carolina. This is a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 19‑bed mixed CVICU/CVRU unit.
• Patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity; hold‑over downgraded patients may be 1:3.
• Collaborate with highly trained CVICU/CVRU charge nurses who are available to assist with any issues.
• Receive orientation support from a dedicated educator.
• Work alongside 13 day‑shift RNs, 11 night‑shift RNs, and a nurse’s aide on all shifts.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina or compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Skills

• Ability to float to all ICUs and step‑down units as needed.
• Adherence to dress code: navy blue or white scrubs, nursing shoes, hair off shoulder, no fake nails.
