Travel CVICU Registered Nurse - $1,941 per week

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-level care to patients recovering from open-heart surgery, thoracotomies, esophagogastrectomies, and those requiring Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Maintain and monitor patients on ECMO and IABP.
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive drips.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and perform arterial line management.
• Conduct patient assessments and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Oversee the care and management of central lines.
• Participate in established isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CC or CVICU.
• Active RN license; compact license is pending approval for submittal.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with accessing/managing ports, chest tube insertion/removal, and BiPAP/CPAP management is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
