Travel CVICU Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes
• Administering complex medications and treatments
• Operating advanced life support equipment and performing hemodynamic monitoring
• Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and emotional support
• Documenting interventions and patient responses accurately
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care
• Providing patient and family education about treatments and recovery
• Maintaining proficiency in critical care procedures and adhering to infection control protocols
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Skills Required

• One year of recent CVICU RN experience
• Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to handle equipment and move within the ICU environment
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and following instructions
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to irregular activity levels
