About the role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 16-week night shift contract in Plattsburgh, NY.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based radiology CT department with 2 Philips CT scanner rooms on the main campus
- Patient population spans all ages (0–100) with cases including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, C-spine, and PE studies
- Perform IV injections as part of routine duties
- Support respiratory therapy and anesthesia 24/7 for patient needs
- Use Epic for documentation and PbXIS for medication management
- Perform 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday; no block scheduling
- Weekend coverage required as scheduled
- Call and holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Floating to other units is not required
- This is a Level 3 trauma facility
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT clinical experience required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- NYS DOH venipuncture certification required
- NY state license required; candidates with proof of pending application and applied date will be considered (note: NY licensing typically takes 6–8 weeks)
- Epic experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Two professional references required — at least one from a supervisor or nurse manager within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
