About the role
Travel position in Tacoma, Washington. 40 hours per week, 6-hour day shifts. Shift details: 7 days on/7 days off, 10-hour graveyard shifts Wednesday–Tuesday 2100–0730 (70 hours bi-weekly).
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans on trauma, stroke, ER, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients (Level II trauma center)
- Average patient volume: 45 day-shift, 56 evening-shift, 28 night-shift patients (≈130 patients per 24-hour period)
- Insert IV lines
- Take call shifts (one weekend call shift approximately every 6 weeks, two weekday call shifts per month, 30-minute response time)
- Work holidays if scheduled on the holiday or assigned holiday call coverage
Requirements
- 2–3 years of CT experience (no first-year travelers)
- ARRT (CT) certification and BLS certification
- Active Washington State Technologist license
- Experience with trauma and IV insertion
- Siemens CT equipment experience
- First-time travelers accepted
Work environment
- 4 CT imaging rooms
- Lead Tech on-site 0700–1700; 2–5 CT Techs per shift
- Radiologist off-site at night
- Day/evening: transporter available; night: ER/inpatient staff bring patients
- EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson
- Orientation: 1–2 weeks on day shift
- No floating required
- Scrub color: any solid, professional color
