About the role
Travel CT Technologist position in Puyallup, Washington. 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730) with 2-3 call shifts per month. Fixed schedule: Friday-Sunday nights.
About the facility
Level III Trauma Center in Puyallup, WA with 375 licensed beds. COVID vaccine required at MHS.
- 3 CT suites
- Siemens equipment: Dual Source CT 128 Flash, Definition 64 (interventional CT), Definition Edge 128 in ER
- EMR: EPIC
- IV pumps: Alaris
- Medication dispensing: Pyxis
- Injector: MedRad
- PACS: Change Healthcare
Travelers with 1 year of experience accepted if they have worked in a large Level 3+ facility and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. First-time travelers accepted with same experience criteria.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans on ER and ICU patients (90% of night shift caseload)
- Assist with general, diagnostic, interventional, and critical cases
- Handle over 100 patients in 24 hours
- Cardiac CT experience preferred
- On-call duties: 7p-7a, 1-2 shifts per month
Requirements
- BLS certification
- ARRT CT Registered
- Washington state license
- Acute care experience
- Experience with ER, ICU, and interventional cases
- No critical access-only experience
Support & Orientation
- 1 week orientation (may extend if needed)
- Support staff: Lead CT Tech, Respiratory Therapy, Hospitalist, Radiologist (on-site days, off-site nights), IR MD/PA, RRT
- CT transporter available (except 4am-9am)
- 5 CT techs during business hours, 3 after 5pm
Schedule
- Fixed repeating schedule with minor alterations
- Night shift: 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), 4 days off per week
- Every-other holiday rotation
- RTO (Request Time Off) approval through manager
- Strict adherence to posted shift lengths (no variance unless matching posted shift)
