About the role

San Luis Valley Health is seeking a Travel CT/Rad Tech to join the Imaging Team at Conejos County Hospital in La Jara, CO. This is a travel position with evening shifts of 10 hours each.

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed techniques in performing procedures, including adjusting equipment, determining proper voltage, current, and desired time.
• Arrange immobilization and support devices, adjust lead shielding, and select proper film.
• Clean x-ray room and equipment daily.
• Perform call assignments as needed.
• Perform quality control tasks and maintain quality control reports specific to the procedures performed.
• Perform general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and scheduling incoming patients.
• Perform diagnostic testing and general maintenance on equipment.
• Move equipment into specified position and prepare room, contrast material, and other materials needed for procedures.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.

Requirements

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved training program.
• ARRT Registered MRI preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in Computerized Tomography, with CT certification.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
