Radiology Technologist - CT/X-Ray, Emergency Room
Job Details
- Work in a 12-bed freestanding emergency room with a 7-bed vertical fast track area
- 36-hour work week with rotating weekends and holidays
- No on-call requirements
- Patient ratios of 4-8 patients per nurse with an average of 80 patients per day and 100+ during winter surge
- Ability to work independently covering both CT and X-ray modalities, often as single staff coverage for both
- Operate GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable X-ray equipment
- Document using Meditech and Sectra systems
- Perform normal emergency room procedures, no surgical procedures or biopsies
- Advanced skills required for Acute Stroke Ready cases and moderate pediatric volume
- Floating to other units is not required
Requirements
- Must have 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Must have Virginia license or compact license at time of submission
- Required certifications: CPR, ARRT, ARRT-CT
- Required dress code: Grey scrubs
- Professional, friendly, and strong communication skills required
