About the Role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality CT Technologist for a travel contract with one of our top healthcare clients in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This position involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Set controls of the equipment, monitor patients and equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast, if applicable.
• Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
• Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence, and label appropriately.
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
• Charge procedures and supplies to the patient record.
• Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Maintain a patient-focused environment, providing timely, compassionate, and quality care.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Eighteen months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification.
• Most states require licensure.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
