Travel CT Technologist - $2,830 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in CT with onsite support from an X-ray tech
• Transport patients to and from exams
• Operate Canon (Toshiba) CT scanners, including an 80-slice hospital scanner and 40-slice units
• Administer contrast using Medrad Stellant injector
• Document in EPIC EMR

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, days
• 3rd shift, 7 days on/7 days off rotation
• Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday shifts: 8:30 PM–6:30 AM
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation included (every other weekend)
• Holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

• BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 12 months of core CT experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• 2+ years of experience with Canon/Toshiba 40 and 80-slice CT scanners preferred
• 2+ years of experience with Medrad Stellant injector
• EPIC experience required
• Proficient in peripheral IV starts with IV contrast injection
• Strong knowledge of basic CT principles and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Information

• Department supervisor provides support on the unit
• Orientation includes at least one shift to learn unit flow
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Clinical interview required, with final approval given by the manager
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
