Travel CT Technologist - $2,808 per week

About the role

This is a travel position located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The role requires 40 hours per week with an 8-hour evening shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM). The facility is open to accommodating a block schedule and accepts local candidates. Clinicians may be required to float to the Mercy Hospital - Unity campus as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans including 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
• Conduct studies such as Abdomen without and/or with contrast, Brain perfusion, Carotid, Cervical, Chest without and/or with contrast, Colonography or virtual Colonography, Coronary CTA, CT arthrography, Head without and/or with contrast, Lumbar, Myelography, Pelvis without and/or with contrast, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, Thoracic, Trauma head, Vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta), and Vascular CTA
• Perform procedures including aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and starting peripheral IVs
• Prepare and/or administer contrast media
• Ensure radiation safety and perform multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
• Work in various settings including Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, ICU, and Level II Trauma Center
• Utilize PACS and Siemens equipment
• Adhere to isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Perform region of interest measurement (ROI)
• Experience with transplant studies and radiation therapy planning preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Certifications required: ARRT-R and BLS
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Travel experience required
• Preferred experience: Community Hospital, Trauma Level II, and management/lead experience
• Must be willing to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital as needed
• Pending license not accepted; must have license in hand or apply for MN license through Aya project at time offer is accepted
• Returning staff must be gone 3 months from last shift worked as permanent staff or per diem
• One supervisor reference required at time of submission

Compliance & Policies

• Fingerprinting: Required for Minnesota state compliance; must be done via LiveScan (available in 25 states outside MN). Results can take 1–4 weeks.

• Pre-start modules: $150 stipend for completing ~8 hours of modules; all onsite modules (e.g., Excellian/EPIC classes) are billable

Pay

• Base Bill Rate: $100.80 per hour
• Overtime Multiplier: 1.5x for hours beyond 48 in a week
• Charge Nurse Differential: $5 per hour
• On Call Rate: $5 per hour
• Call Back Multiplier: 1.35x
• Holiday Multiplier: 1.35x
• Non-Billable Orientation: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty; on-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum
