About the role
This is a travel position located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The role requires 40 hours per week on an evening shift (Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM). First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans including 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering), abdomen with/without contrast, brain perfusion, carotid, cervical, chest with/without contrast, colonography/virtual colonography, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, drainage, emergency department studies, head with/without contrast, ICU, lumbar, myelography, pelvis with/without contrast, PET CT, preparation/administration of contrast media, radiation safety, radiation therapy planning, region of interest measurement (ROI), sinuses, soft tissue neck, thoracic, transplant studies, trauma head, vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta), and vascular CTA
- Start peripheral IVs
- Adhere to isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Operate PACS and Siemens equipment
- Float to Mercy Hospital - Unity campus as needed to meet facility needs
- Work in a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT-R and BLS certifications required
- Epic/Excellian charting experience required
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Travel experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Ability to accommodate a block schedule
- Local candidates accepted for radiology positions only
- Pending licenses not accepted; must have MN license in hand or apply through Aya project at time of offer acceptance
- No on-call requirement

Unit Details
- Scheduling Type: Block schedule available
- Orientation Hours: 16 (8 hours non-billable, 8 hours billable for Excellian/EPIC classes)
- Pre-approved time off: Must be relayed to Account Manager at time of submission
- Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty; on-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum
- Return-to-Work Policy: Traveler must be gone 3 months from last shift worked as permanent staff or per diem
- Compliance Deadline: Monday prior to start date
- References: 1 supervisor reference required at time of submission
- Fingerprinting: Required for Minnesota state compliance; results must be received by compliance file due date or start date will be pushed back at least one week
Pay
- Base Bill Rate: $100.80 per hour
- Overtime Multiplier: 1.35% for 48 total hours in 1 week
- Charge Nurse Differential: $5 per hour
- On-Call Rate: $5 per hour
- Call Back Multiplier: 1.35
- Holiday Multiplier: 1.35
- Pre-Start Modules Stipend: $150 for completing pre-start modules (average 8 hours)
