About the Role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital-based diagnostic imaging department in Nashua, New Hampshire. The role involves performing CT procedures, including interventional cases, CT Angiography, and advanced 3D reconstruction.
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM every Wednesday and Thursday)
- Every other weekend shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Saturday and Sunday
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation and PACS (McKesson Change Healthcare preferred) for exam review
- CT equipment from GE and Siemens preferred
- Minimal holiday and backup call requirements
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans under the direction of a Radiologist and CT Supervisor in accordance with department protocol
- Assist radiologist during interventional procedures
- Coordinate daily workload by scheduling inpatients, prioritizing ED patients, and balancing outpatient schedules
- Review IV Contrast Questionnaire with patients prior to contrast administration
- Review exams in PACS for completeness before submitting to radiologist
- Ensure patient safety and apply the ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure
- Perform daily QA and warm-up procedures on CT equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, including light cleaning and laundry duties
- Follow facility dress code policy and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of CT Scan experience required
- Current ARRT(CT) certification required; ARRT CT Registry eligible preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state imaging license required if applicable
- Experience administering IV, oral, and rectal contrast
- Knowledge of CT patient prep, positioning, and scan acquisition per protocol
- Ability to identify anatomy, pathology, and contrast enhancement on cross-sectional imaging
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach as needed
