Travel CT Technologist - $2,675 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of CT experience and be ready to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (some references note 2 years may be required)
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (CT) certification with registration in computed tomography
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop easily
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Familiarity with the McKesson PACS system (implied)
