About the role

Dual-modality CT/Radiologic Technologist position at an 885-bed, Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations. The role involves both adult and pediatric CT and X-ray procedures in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray imaging for trauma, stroke, and other diagnoses
• Set up and operate CT machines, fixed/mobile X-ray, and mini-C-Arm (Fluoro training provided)
• Work in the Emergency Department CT unit only (no general radiology floating)
• Handle high-stress situations calmly in a Level 1 trauma environment
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements (75% of holidays worked)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• ARRT Certification: RT(R)(CT)
• BLS certification
• Ability to perform both adult and pediatric imaging

Department Details

• Department beds: 54 (Imaging – 4, CT – 4)
• Average daily census: 200 patients
• Support: 5 senior staff members for leadership
• Technology: EPIC EMR, Siemens/CT, Canon/RadPRO portables, mini-C-Arm
• Orientation: Up to 5 days (varies by experience)
• Scrub color: Black

Schedule

• Duration: 14 weeks (12-week assignment with potential extension)
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Shift options:
  • 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • 11:00 PM – 11:30 AM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM (Monday–Thursday)
  • 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
• Schedule cycle: 4 weeks
