About the role
CT Technologist position in Kenosha, Wisconsin (53142) for a 13-week travel assignment on a rotating third-shift schedule. The role involves working independently in CT with support from an on-site X-ray technologist, transporting patients to and from exams, and starting peripheral IVs for contrast injections. Clinical interviews are required, with the manager giving final approval.
Schedule
- 3rd shift, 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, starting on a Thursday and running through the following Wednesday.
- Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 2030–0630 (8:30pm–6:30am)
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 1900–0700 (7pm–7am)
- Works every other weekend as part of the rotational schedule.
- Holiday coverage as needed.
- No on-call, call-back, or floating requirements.
Facility
- Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center.
- 74 general information beds; 80 total beds.
- Patient population: inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients requiring CT services.
- 1:1 patient ratio.
- First-time travelers considered upon review.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT with CT registry.
- More than 2 years of CT experience on Canon (Toshiba) scanners (40 and 80 slice; the hospital scanner is 80 slice).
- More than 2 years of Medrad Stellant injector experience.
- EPIC charting experience (required).
- Proficiency with peripheral IV starts and IV contrast injection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Equipment & Orientation
- Charting: EPIC (must have).
- Scanners: Canon/Toshiba 40 and 80 slice, depending on timeframe — experience on this equipment is beneficial.
- At least one orientation shift to learn workflow.
- Scrub color: any.
