About the Role
Operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Prepare and position patients, set technical parameters, and collaborate with radiologists to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Maintain equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately.
- Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
- Provide high-quality images to Radiologists for interpretation.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
- Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice.
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist.
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT Certification.
- Additional certifications and licenses as required by the position.

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, with proficiency in PC skills.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

- Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures.
- Mental resilience to cope with frequent public interaction, meet deadlines under pressure, and work with occasional close supervision or independently.
- Ability to handle irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on detail.
- Visual acuity and effective communication skills.
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- 36 hours per week.
- Shift: 12 hours, days.
