About the role
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a hospital-based CT Scan department in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The position will start on July 27, 2026, and last for 13 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Patient preparation, positioning, and education on CT procedures and safety precautions
- Operates CT scanner to acquire diagnostic images, adjusting parameters such as slice thickness, exposure settings, and contrast administration to optimize image quality
- Maintains patient safety and monitors for adverse reactions during scanning
- Assists radiologists with image interpretation and documentation
- Provides guidance to colleagues on CT imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety
- Participates in new staff orientation and radiologic technology student education
- Performs daily equipment checks, quality control tests, and participates in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program as validated by active ARRT certification
- ARRT registered or registry eligible
- Current KY Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, equipment operation, and scanning protocols
- Proficiency in image acquisition and post-processing techniques including windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting
- Two (2) years of experience as a Rad Tech in diagnostic radiology preferred
- Prior hospital or medical imaging facility CT Technologist experience preferred
- Additional ARRT CT certification or equivalent preferred

Pay
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
Schedule
Evening shift, 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, 5 days per week.
