About the role
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care teaching hospital, requiring ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications and prior travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of CT procedures including head, neck, chest, abdomen/pelvis, spine, musculoskeletal, and vascular CTA studies
- Special procedures may include brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, colonography, aspirations, biopsies, and drainage
- Image processing tasks include 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurements
- May be required to float to a nearby outpatient clinic location approximately half a mile from the main hospital
- Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract on a rotating basis with staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(CT) certifications required
- Virginia state license required; any active state license in hand is accepted, as Virginia will grant emergency authorization while a permanent VA license processes — license required if applicable
- Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Radiation safety knowledge required
- Siemens and Epic experience required
- Must provide a copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card for consideration
- Two references required for consideration

- Candidates must live outside the facility's radius restriction — locals are not accepted

Benefits
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
