FirstChoice CT Techs are utilized to fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system as part of this innovative program.

Responsibilities

• Review the Physician Order and reason for exam.
• Prepare and position patients for CT imaging.
• Perform CT imaging of patients in accordance with department protocols.
• Work closely with CT leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, adhering to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
• Collaborate with members of the assigned unit and FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidence-based care within a healing culture for patients and families.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher required.
• Eighteen (18) months of CT experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as a CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association certifications only accepted).
• Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations.
• Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.

Schedule

• 13-week assignment.
• 3x12-hour shifts per week.
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.

Pay

Gross weekly rate: $2,844.
