About the role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(CT) certification and 1-2 years of CT and acute care experience for a hospital-based Computed Tomography department in Lafayette, Colorado. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting September 7, 2026, with 36 hours per week on an evening shift schedule.
Schedule
- Evening shift: Monday–Wednesday, 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating on-call responsibilities and assigned holiday coverage required
Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging
- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
- Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality and accuracy
- Administer contrast media under physician or radiologist supervision and provide patient education on contrast safety
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
- Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and any incidents
- Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers following procedures
- Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists as needed
- Use Epic charting system
- Operate CT equipment, imaging techniques, and protocols proficiently
- Recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
- Function independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- ARRT(CT) certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
- Associate degree required
- 1–2 years of CT and acute care experience preferred
- 1 year of experience in the specialty being submitted for is required
- State licensure required if applicable; no pending license allowed for consideration
- Proficiency in CT equipment operation, imaging techniques, and protocols
- Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and injector operation
- Understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency
- Ability to view, transfer, and manipulate electronic images

- Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for this assignment
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- RTO (Return to Work) status must be disclosed prior to consideration
