About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT/BLS certification for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet, Level III Trauma community hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is a travel position with a start date of August 31, 2026, running for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.

Details

  • Short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma designation
  • 672 staffed beds with 4 CT scanners in house
  • Day shift: 5x8 hours (9:00 AM–5:30 PM), though shift may switch to evenings or nights based on unit needs
  • Inpatient and outpatient caseload including neuro, full body, cancer, stroke, and lung screening studies, averaging approximately 100 patients per day
  • Weekend shifts available for pick-up
  • On-call required for those willing to take weekday/weekend call
  • Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby
  • Uses Siemens Force and GE scanners, PACS, and contrast administration
  • Epic/Excellian charting system

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, IV pyelogram, vascular CTA, chest, head, spine, and various contrast studies
  • Conduct colorectal studies, CT arthrography, aspirations, biopsies, and multiplanar reconstruction (preferred)
  • Administer contrast and operate PACS
  • Follow isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety protocols, and perform peripheral IV starts
  • Chart using Epic/Excellian system

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
  • ARRT and BLS certification required; ARRT CT and ARRT R preferred
  • License required if applicable; pending state license accepted
  • Experience in inpatient, ER, community hospital, and adult ICU settings required
  • Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • PACS and contrast administration experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Proficiency with Siemens and GE CT equipment required
  • First-time travelers accepted; local candidates also considered
  • One supervisor reference required for consideration
  • Prepared for potential fingerprinting requirements as part of Minnesota state compliance

Additional Information

  • Solid gray scrubs required
  • RTO ideally no more than 5 days during the assignment
  • Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem
