About the role

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and required Siemens equipment proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Seattle, Washington.

Assignment overview:

  • Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with variable days of the week
  • Hours: 36 hrs/wk
  • Start Date: August 10, 2026
  • Length: 13 weeks
  • 2 on-call shifts required per month
  • Floating within the hospital within clinical scope is required

Work environment

  • Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with 500 staffed beds
  • Work settings include Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and ICU
  • Procedures include brain perfusion, vascular CTA, chest/abdomen/pelvis imaging with and without contrast, spine and musculoskeletal studies (cervical, lumbar, thoracic), and head and neck imaging
  • Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
  • Epic EMR is required (hard stop)

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures including preparation and/or administration of contrast media
  • Start peripheral IVs (preferred)
  • Conduct abdomen/pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience; candidates with less than 2 years may be screened if they have Level I Trauma experience
  • Siemens equipment experience is required (hard stop)
  • ARRT (R) and BLS required; ARRT (CT) preferred
  • Active WA State Radiology license required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media required
  • Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
  • 2 supervisory references required for consideration (1 non-supervisory may be accepted case by case)
  • Background: any hits must be disclosed

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
  • RTO is not accommodated during the first 2 weeks of the assignment and should be kept to a minimum throughout
  • Candidates who were previously employed at this facility must have an 18-month separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • Pre-start orientation modules are required and must be completed prior to the start date (approximately 2–3 hours for Allied positions; additional time may apply if WA suicide prevention training is required)
  • Any solid color scrubs are accepted; light blue scrubs are also provided on the unit
  • On-site parking is available at a daily cost; an off-site parking option with a 10-minute shuttle is also available on weekdays between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM for $10/day
