About the role
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel contract in Washington state, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and required ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in an adult acute care hospital setting, including abdomen/pelvis imaging with and without contrast, chest CT, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal (cervical, lumbar, thoracic), vascular CTA, brain perfusion, and image post-processing including multiplanar reconstruction (MPR).
- Handle special procedures such as aspirations and biopsies.
- Operate Siemens and GE CT scanners and Epic EMR system.
- Support CT assistant with patient transfers, room turnover, and other tasks.
- Work 3x12-hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- May be required to float between sister facilities within the state.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience required; 2 years preferred (1 year considered for candidates with trauma or high acuity center experience).
- Active ARRT R, ARRT CT, and BLS certifications required.
- Valid Washington state license required; compact license must be in hand at time of consideration.
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration required.
- Proficiency with PACS, Siemens and/or GE CT equipment.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are accepted at a different rate.
- SSN and DOB required for consideration.
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration.

- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
- All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted.
- A prior work history response is required: candidates must disclose whether they have ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or registry/per diem (include location and dates if applicable).

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
