American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Mount Airy, North Carolina.

About the Role

Hospital-based CT Technologist position performing both CT and X-ray procedures
Adult acute care and outpatient patient population, including Emergency Department cases
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
No call requirements
Rotational holiday coverage shared with existing staff
First week includes orientation shift in CT and X-ray
Travelers expected to float within the hospital as needed
Local candidates accepted at the same rate; no mileage restriction for candidacy
Previous staff/travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months and remain in good standing to be eligible for return
Facility requests completion of required labs within 48-72 hours of contract signing for timely clearance

Responsibilities

Perform CT and X-ray imaging across a range of clinical areas including trauma, vascular, and musculoskeletal cases
Procedures include head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal CT imaging with and without contrast
Vascular studies including CTA, carotid, and pulmonary embolism protocols
Utilize GE CT scanners and PACS system
Meditech charting system preferred
Skilled in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration
Perform peripheral IV insertion and venipuncture
Adhere to radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
ARRT(R)(CT) certification required
BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Experience with GE CT scanners preferred

Duration: 13 weeks
40 hours per week
Shift: 8 hours, days
