Travel CT Tech - $2,594 per week

About the role

Travel CT Technologist position at a Level I Trauma academic medical center in Saint Louis, Missouri. The facility is a comprehensive stroke center and academic teaching hospital with all‑Siemens CT equipment (new 2020) used across ED, inpatient, ICU, and outpatient settings. Shifts are 12‑hour nights, three 12‑hour shifts per week (Friday‑Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM), totaling 36 hours per week. No floating outside of scope. EPIC charting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, and Level I trauma settings.
• Operate all‑Siemens CT scanners with identical protocols.
• Prepare and administer contrast media; start peripheral IVs.
• Assist with special procedures such as biopsies, drainage, vascular CTA, transplant studies, paracentesis/thoracentesis (as applicable).
• Ensure compliance with ACR‑accredited scanner standards.
• Maintain required scrubs (ceil blue) and adhere to respirator fit‑testing requirements (shaving for mask seal).

Requirements

• Minimum 1‑2 years of CT Technologist experience.
• Level I Trauma hospital experience required (hard stop).
• Teaching hospital experience required.
• ARRT‑CT and BLS certification required; ARRT‑R preferred.
• Valid state license if applicable.
• Siemens CT equipment experience required.
• Proficiency in abdomen/pelvis CT (with and without contrast), chest CT, head and neck CT, spine and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years.

Skills

• Contrast media preparation and administration.
• Peripheral IV starts.
• Experience with biopsies, drainage, vascular CTA, transplant studies (preferred).
• Experience with paracentesis/thoracentesis (a plus).
• Ability to work in Level I trauma, comprehensive stroke, academic teaching environment.
